The French «calisson», a traditional French confectionery made in Provence, is the result of a delicious blend of almonds and candied fruits, topped with royal icing. This delicate treat with a unique and original shape, close to an almond, has been an authentic Provencal specialty since the 15th century. Enjoy the classic version with a white topping and a tasty raspberry variation with a pink topping.
Ingredients
Raspberry Calisson: sugar, almonds, glucose syrup (wheat), raspberry jam 7%, humectant: sorbitol, invert sugar, flavouring, egg whites, unleavened bread (potato starch, vegetable oil), preservative: potassium sorbate E202, colouring: E120, Plain Calisson: almonds, candied fruits (melons, orange peels, wheat glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid), honey, invert sugar, glucose syrup (wheat), egg white, unleavened bread (potato starch, vegetable oil), natural orange blossom flavouring.
